The Friends of the Cal-Sag Trail is a membership-supported organization of volunteers, trail users, trail advocates, community representatives, business people, bicyclists, walkers, naturalists – a really great mix of people – who want the Cal-Sag Trail built and are having fun making that happen.
We meet almost monthly in communities up and down the Cal-Sag and Calumet River to talk about trail progress, the communities that will benefit from it, opportunities to promote the trail, and frankly to just be with others who love this trail idea. You’ll always find info on our next meeting in our calendar.
We raise funds that can be used to supplement private and public funding to build the trail and the amenities that will enhance its use. We distribute trail brochures and posters within our communities, exhibit at community events, partner with other organizations and groups, and talk to our neighbors and friends and communities about the Cal-Sag Trail, its Triple Bottom Line of benefits, and the wonderful features along the corridor right now.
The Friends of the Cal-Sag Trail is a 501c3 non-profit, so all membership dues and contributions are tax deductible. One hundred percent of your contribution goes toward completing this trail and promoting and expanding its Triple Bottom Line impact on our corridor’s communities. Join us!
