Why You Should Cruise with Us

From the beginning in 2004, the vision of the 26-mile Cal-Sag Trail has included walkers, bicyclists, and runners discovering and appreciating the ecology, cultural diversity, the histories and industrial importance of the Cal-Sag.

In 2012, the Friends of the Cal-Sag Trail (FOCST, pronounced “focused”) developed the Wayfinding & Amenities Plan to identify the story-telling opportunities along the corridor that could help the trail meet its Triple Bottom Line potential: Economic development, environmental stewardship, and quality of life. Funds raised from Cruisin’ the Cal-Sag will help FOCST and the trail’s partnering agencies turn the plan’s recommendations for ecological, industrial, cultural and historical storytelling into results on the ground.

Enjoy yourself as you see your corridor in a new way, and help FOCST fund the trail-side storytelling that will connect trail users to the diverse legacies, histories and cultures of the communities along it.
